Presented at SIZED STUDIO in Hollywood, VESSELS was a large-scale exhibition dedicated to the vessel as a form of poetic function. Spanning 7,000 square feet across two floors, the exhibition featured over 200 works by artists, designers, architects, and studios from around the world — ranging from vases and planters to sculptural furniture and abstract forms.

Guided by SIZED Creative Director Alexander May, the exhibition examined the vessel as an object that holds — not just matter, but memory, rhythm, space, and symbolism. Botanical elements were placed throughout the installation to create a living dialogue between the objects and their environment, referencing ritual, form, and the aesthetics of the everyday.

“In revisiting the vessel,” May noted, “we’re engaging with one of the most elemental structures in design — a shape we all know, reimagined through personal histories and material experimentation.”

As part of the exhibition, SIZED partnered with Paris-based NFT platform CONCEPT to release 10 digital editions from participating artists, expanding the definition of the vessel to include digital containers for art and ownership. Artists featured in the release included Emmanuel Olunkwa, Vanessa Beecroft, RA Workshop (Rich Aybar), Lukas Stoever, Rio Estudio, Illya Goldman Gubin, Marc Leschelier, Grace Prince, Klaus Jürgen Schmidt, and Tino Seibert.

VESSELS continued SIZED’s commitment to thoughtful spatial curation, creating an environment where familiar forms could be re-seen — not only as design, but as presence, story, and architecture.
