Curated by SIZED founder Alexander May, In Motion: Andy Warhol 1974–1986 was a three-day exhibition presented at SIZED STUDIO in Los Angeles from December 9–11, 2022. The exhibition marked the opening of the newly established cultural studio with an intimate presentation of rare black-and-white film portraits by Andy Warhol.
Featuring 40 photographs taken between 1974 and 1986 — including several never-before-seen works — the show offered a personal view into Warhol’s creative circle. Subjects included Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, William S. Burroughs, Bianca Jagger, and others, capturing informal, in-between moments that revealed the artist’s close ties to his collaborators and friends.
Framed as a meditation on movement and creative process, In Motion served as both a cultural touchpoint and a conceptual inauguration for SIZED STUDIO — emphasizing the studio’s role as a site for reflection, experimentation, and contemporary dialogue.
